Finite-Dimensional Simple Leibniz Pairs and Simple Poisson Modules

Simple modules over the Leibniz pairs are studied. Simple Poisson modules over Poisson algebras of the semisimple associative algebra structure are determined and they are nothing but simple bimodules over simple associative algebras with standard noncommutative Poisson algebra structure.     

Second order evolution equations with time-dependent subdifferentials

We study an abstract second order nonlinear evolution equation in a real Hilbert space. We consider time-dependent convex functions and their subdifferentials operating on the first derivative of the unknown function. Introducing appropriate assumptions on the convex functions and other data, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a strong solution, and give some applications of the abstract theorem to hyperbolic variational inequalities with time-dependent constraints.      

Relative stability of η-cyclopentadienyl(olefin)ruthenium cations: The first estimation of the nature of the Ru-olefin bond

Relative stability in coordination of substituted styrene derivatives to [Ru(η-C₅H₅)(dtpe)]⁺ (dtpe = 1,2-bis(di-p-tolylphosphino)-ethane) was determined by NMR spectroscopy to reveal unusually weak substituent dependency of the stability.     

Electrochemical and thermal properties of hyperbranched polymer electrolytes for batteries

Terminal-acetylated hyperbranched poly(ethylene glycol) derivatives containing diethylene, triethylene, and hexaethylene and 3,5-dioxybenzoate branching units (poly-Ac1a, poly-Ac1b, and poly-Ac1c) were synthesized. Electrochemical and thermal properties of the hyperbranched polymer electrolytes with lithium salts such as LiCF₃SO₃ and LiN(CF₃SO₂)₂, the composite hyperbranched polymer electrolytes with LiN(CF₃SO₂)₂ containing α-LiAlO₂ and γ-LiAlO₂ fillers, and the hyperbranched polymer blended poly(ethylene oxide) electrolytes with LiN(CF₃SO₂)₂ were investigated and discussed. Novel enhancement of the reducing ability of ytterbium diiodide by irradiation with near-UV light

Irradiation with near-UV light, dramatically enhances the reducing ability of ytterbium diiodide (YbI₂). Organic bromides, iodides, tosylates, and tellurides are reduced efficiently by a YbI₂-hv system, while these can not be reduced with YbI₂ in the dark.     

G-matrix effective interaction with the paris potential

An effective interaction is derived by fitting the oscillator matrix elements of the sum of the OBEP functions to the G-matrix elements derived from the Paris nucleon-nucleon interaction. The functional form, the mass dependence and the ambiguities of the effective interaction are discussed. For the application of the present effective interaction, we study the mass dependence of the G-matrices and estimate the Landau-Migdal parameter g′. We have obtained reasonable results for these cases.     

Experiments on plasma heating in the lower hybrid frequency range

Experimental results of lower hybrid heating in a small tokamak are described. When rf power is applied, a high energy tail of ions is produced, whether or not there is a lower hybrid resonance layer (LHR layer) in the plasma column, though bulk ion heating is not observed. The electron temperature in the plasma surface increases, while the electrons in the center lose their energy, which is related to an impurity ion flux diffusing from the outside of the plasma.
